Scotilla Psychological Services offers doctoral-level assessment, consultation and psychotherapy - across the clinical, forensic and addiction fields.

Dr. Scott J. Scotilla is licensed as a clinical psychologist in PA and NY as well as an ICAADC (Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor). Speciality experience areas include: ADHD, addiction recovery, anger management, depression, anxiety and objective independent forensic evaluations.

All sessions are available either as virtual sessions or in-person (as long as you are somewhere near smack dab in the middle of PA).

INSURANCE - for clinical or addictions work: AETNA, Highmark BLUE CROSS/BLUE SHIELD, UPMC, and AMBETTER as well as their partner insurance plans. Please check with your own insurance to verify that our practice is covered as "in-network." Our clients who have other out of network insurance simply pay for their sessions, then they are given an insurance super-bill to submit to their own insurer for reimbursement. If for some ungodly reason you have read all the way to this point, I am surprised at that. I really resisted making a website forever. For one thing, there has never been a need to “attract business” in any way with specialties in anxiety, addictions, adhd and forensics.

But even more than that I never wanted to have one of those stupid biography sections I saw from other behavioral health specialists that explain how they “meet people where they are” in a “safe space for sharing,” and their therapy perspective is “eclectic.” What is that stuff supposed to even mean to a real person?

Instead, I repeatedly took joy anytime someone was referred to me and at the intake session they commented, “Wow dude you should get a website, it was really tough to find you.” Inside I loved that, thinking ‘Good - the people who are really ready to work are the ones who wind up here. ’ I finally gave in though now only because someone really smart told me that these days when someone looks up a high-end forensic or clinical psychologist they expect the legitimate ones to have a website. DAMN - that made good sense!!

Ok, so now I’ve made the absolute most bare bones website I could possibly make. I mean think of it, there isn’t even an address or phone number or anything on this whole page. Why? so the AI spambots can cull my practice phone and fax and email to send me junk? No thank you.
